With the arrival of spring and an air of summer edging closer i can't help but daydream of all the things i'd love to be able to do this year, i know i say it pretty much every year but i really want to create some amazing memories and do a bit more travelling and exploring further from home. Not just that but also things that i'm looking forward to doing now that i've got a bit more freedom, work flexibility and better financial position:
i've convinced my dear mother to babysit for one whole week in the summer, i want to seize this opportunity and go away with the better half, we always talk about doing a road trip, so i'd love to go for a coastal trail road trip through France, stopping at every cute village to try out the cuisine
failing that, a week break in the south of Italy would be PERFECT, my partner is half Italian and i very much am inspired by that tradition and culture, i've already saved 50+ air B'n'B destinations we could stay at on the Amalfi coast. i stumbled across a great blog post on tips for travelling the Amalfi Coast if you're considering this too, go and read it HERE
if you know me at all, or follow me on twitter you know i'm a charity shop enthusiast, i cannot wait to go for a shopping spree hitting up every charity shop on the high street and rummaging through every boot sale i can possibly get to, affordable and ethical fashion.. you can't go wrong! my last charity shop haul was a success and i did a Youtube Vlog all about it, you can watch it below.
one of my happiest times last year was when we went camping on the Isle of Wight, it was the peak of summer and i felt so free. we explored nearly every inch of the island, it was such a fun long weekend and one i'd love to re-live again
another happy place of mine which exists on the Isle of Wight is my favourite summer festival, BESTIVAL.. i didn't go to any festivals last year and i'm having withdrawal symptoms! i've seen lots of festivals pop up that are family friendly, it would be my absolute dream to be able to go to one this year. you can have a read of what we got up to at Shambala festival HERE. i also shared a helpful guide on packing for a festival HERE. oh and not forgetting the time i went to LOVEBOX
i'm also super excited to have received an invite to a London Blog Event by @ScarlettLondon, this year is the #BloggersBall where we'll have an excuse to dress up and mingle with other blogging gals. since moving to Bournemouth my confidence has grown and i've met so many like minded bloggers who inspire me so i just want to continue surrounding myself with other influencers and meet new people.
For now that's the extent of my Summer Bucket List, i'd feel so content come winter if i managed to tick off all of these! I may update it within the next couple of months though i'm sure. What's on your summer bucket list? I'd love to know in the comments below!
