resolutions aren't just for the new year.
there have been a few things i've needed to work on and change about myself for a while now, so i've set a few goals to work on. they currently are:
- working on my posture. i notice how much i (and a lot of people i see) slouch. it's lazy of us not to use our corse strength just to sit upright rather than hunch over a table or laptop. i also don't want to be one of these old ladies with huge hunch backs.
- waking up early. not just waking up but getting washed, dressed and ready for the day before 10 every morning. i'm missing out on a huge part of the day by waking up late. being a stay at home mum makes it easy for me to just stay in my pj's 'till 12 every day but this is such a bad habit i need to break.
- focusing on the present. it's easy to wish your day, week or month away if you have something to look forward to. i'm guilty of doing this with bestival. doing this means i overlook the things that are happening now. i don't want to miss out on enjoying life day-to-day because i 'can't wait' until the weekend, well, i can wait and i have no choice to wait so i may as well make the most of the days leading up to the exciting event.
is there anything you need to work on? how about giving yourself a monthly resolution for october, or maybe you'll be giving something up for Stoptober? you can join me on my social media strike and see how much your life improves.
