i hadn't heard many things about this particular festival but seeing as Matt recieved a free friday ticket courtesy of his work placement we decided both of us would venture down to victoria park on the 19th to frolick around. after seeing the friday line-up i can't lie i was extremely excited, all my favourite acts in one place?! from Azealia Banks to Rudimental as well as; SBTRKT, Disclosure, Julio Bashmore and Jurassic 5, well damn son, i couldn't miss that.
early friday morning, i hurried around preparing myself (while dressing/feeding/changing Corben ready for the babysitter). at 11am i was ready to roll, bag clutched in hand,
stilleto red lipstick painted on and flowers in hair i was ready to join the other festival go-ers in north-east London. the journey was short from wycombe,
we took a pitstop at camden stables market - for some delicious lunch of course and a cheeky fill up at sainsbury's for booze. next stop, victoria park.as soon as we left the nearest tube sation, a massive herd of like-minded, music loving, fun people marched down to the event. we spent a couple of hours finshing of our drinks just outside before we entered the actual venue.
as soon we stepped in we were greeted with even more crowds, bars, food stalls and the big top tent (a nice memory of my weekend at bestival 2012). for a small festival there was quite a lot going on and a huge variety of artists to see. the only thing that dampened the day was the unbelievably long ques for alcohol that were pretty much empty come 8pm. however for £30 i wil definitely love to go again as long as the line-up is as strong next year.
oh and here are a few photos we managed to take
